Description

Kahili Ginger is a robust perennial plant known for its tall spikes of fragrant yellow flowers with striking red stamens. It can grow up to 2.5 metres in height and has large, lance-shaped leaves.

Distribution

Native to the eastern Himalayas, Kahili Ginger has become invasive in many subtropical and tropical regions, including New Zealand and Hawaii.
