Description
Tutsan is a shrubby perennial plant that can grow up to 1.5 metres tall. It has oval, dark green leaves and bright yellow flowers with prominent stamens, typically blooming in summer. The plant produces distinctive red to black berries in the autumn.
Distribution
Native to Europe and western Asia, Tutsan is commonly found in woodlands, hedgerows, and along roadsides. It has been introduced to other regions, including parts of North America.
