Description
A branching annual with small yellow dandelion-like flowers and slender stems. Often considered a weed in gardens, roadsides, and disturbed soils
Distribution
Widespread across Europe, including the UK, and introduced to North America and elsewhere. Common in urban and rural habitats.
Medicinal/Other Uses
Not widely used medicinally. Some species in the same genus were traditionally used as mild diuretics or for wound healing, but Crepis capillaris is little recorded in folk medicine.
Edibility
oung leaves can be eaten raw or cooked, though they are bitter and not widely consumed.
