A large, fast-growing deciduous tree with broad, lobed leaves and winged seeds (“helicopters”). Common across the UK in woodlands, parks, and urban areas. Sometimes considered invasive in sensitive habitats.

Not edible.
Human Toxicity
The seeds and seedlings can be toxic to horses, causing a condition known as Atypical Myopathy.
