Description
A hardy, aromatic perennial sub-shrub with tall, airy stems of silvery-grey foliage and spires of small violet-blue flowers. It blooms from midsummer into autumn and is highly attractive to bees and butterflies. Its fragrant, fern-like leaves give gardens a soft, textured appearance.
Distribution
Native to central Asia, including Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Tibet. Widely cultivated in the UK as an ornamental plant.
