Description
Russian Olive is a deciduous shrub or small tree, typically growing up to 7 metres tall. It has narrow, silvery leaves and produces small, fragrant yellow flowers followed by olive-like fruits. The bark is smooth and greyish, often becoming fissured with age.
Distribution
Native to western and central Asia, it has been widely introduced in North America and Europe, often found in riparian areas and open woodlands.
