Description

Common Bistort is a perennial herb known for its dense, spike-like clusters of pink flowers that bloom in late spring to early summer. The plant has a distinctive twisted rootstock and broad, lance-shaped leaves. It typically grows to a height of 30-90 cm.

Distribution

Native to Europe and parts of Asia, Common Bistort is commonly found in moist meadows, grasslands, and along riverbanks. It has also been introduced to North America.
