Flower Details

Description

Flame Azalea is a deciduous shrub known for its vibrant, flame-coloured flowers that range from yellow to red-orange. It typically grows to a height of 1.5 to 4.5 metres and blooms in late spring to early summer. The leaves are elliptic and alternate, providing a lush green backdrop to the striking flowers.

Distribution

This species is native to the Appalachian Mountains in the eastern United States, particularly found in open woodlands and along forest edges from southern Pennsylvania to northern Georgia.
