Description
Mexican fleabane is a dainty perennial with masses of small daisy-like flowers that change from white to pink as they age. It’s known for its ability to self-seed in walls, paths, and cracks, giving a charming cottage-garden feel.
Distribution
Native to Mexico and Central America but now widely naturalised in the UK. Thrives in sunny, well-drained positions.
Medicinal/Other Uses

Historically used in herbalism for digestive complaints and as a mild diuretic. Some Erigeron species were also thought to repel insects — hence the name “fleabane.”
Edibility
Leaves and flowers are edible and sometimes added to salads for a mild, leafy flavour.
