Description
Romneya coulteri is a tall, showy perennial with large, white, crepe-like flowers and bright yellow centres, resembling giant fried eggs. It has grey-green foliage and spreads vigorously by underground rhizomes. It prefers dry, sunny habitats and is sometimes used in erosion control.
Distribution
Native to southern California and Baja California; cultivated in gardens elsewhere for its dramatic blooms.

Used by Native American tribes as a poultice for skin burns and wounds. Rarely used in modern herbal medicine.
