Description

Sonchus oleraceus is an annual herb with hollow stems, milky sap, and dandelion-like yellow flowers. It’s often regarded as a weed but is actually a nutritious wild edible.

Distribution

Native to Europe and North Africa, now widespread globally as a naturalised species.
