Description
Fuzzy deutzia is a deciduous shrub known for its abundant clusters of star-shaped white or pink-tinged flowers in late spring to early summer. The leaves are rough-textured (hence “scabra”) and give the plant a slightly rustic appearance.
Distribution
Native to Japan and China, introduced to the UK in the 19th century as a decorative garden plant. It’s often grown in mixed shrub borders or as a standalone specimen.
