Flower Details

Description

A bright yellow-flowered perennial of damp meadows and ditches, forming clusters of daisy-like blooms. Historically believed to repel fleas (hence the name).

Distribution

Native to much of Europe, including the UK; found in wet meadows, marshes, and riverbanks.

Traditionally used for digestive complaints and as an insect repellent.

Not generally considered edible.
